Talia deleo

Harvard class of 2025 graduate, Talia DeLeo is a driven and introspective choreographer, teacher, and dance artist. She danced from a young age in her home state of Minnesota, training in styles ranging from ballet, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, character, and modern dance. She choreographed her first piece when she was 17 years old and has been choreographing ever since, creating 10 concert dance pieces and 2 short films. Talia danced with, taught and choreographed for the Harvard Ballet Company throughout her four years at Harvard College where she received a degree in Psychology and a secondary in Theater, Dance, and Media. She extensively researched the intersection of psychology and dance, studying dancers’ mental health, dance as a form of kinesthetic therapy, and the visual perception of choreography. Talia currently works with the Chicago School of Musical Arts to establish afterschool programming based in the arts, providing students with access to dance, music, visual arts, and more, combining her passion for the arts and education.
